MARVEL Simplicity in Automation
Increasing productivity through automation requires a range of capabilities such as those described below.
MARVEL Graphical Part Programming
Marvel’s PC3 & PC3S Controls allow an operator to efficiently program parts using a variety of onscreen shapes.
Visual programming screen
The image on the right displays our easy to use part programming screen. The operator simply chooses the shape at the top of the screen that most closely resembles the part to be programmed, then enters the dimensions for that part. The part is then named and saved in memory for use in future jobs.
MARVEL Part & Job Programming
Program up to 500 individual parts which can then be loaded into jobs. This function allows operators to quickly setup, save, and recall repeat parts.
Marvel Manufacturing’s PC3 & PC3S Job Programming
Shown on the left, the Job Control screen allows an operator to insert multiple pre-programmed parts into various jobs. This function allows the operator to easily switch between parts within a single job.
MARVEL Material Library
The Marvel PC3 & PC3S controls feature a Material Library with pre-programmed cutting parameters for various material types. Customers can either use the default settings or enter their own. This feature reduces set-up time while removing the guess work from setting the speeds and feeds for different types of material.

Marvel understands Sawing speeds and feeds are generalized recommendations. Therefore the controls are setup to allow the saw operators to input their own expertise into the control for future cutting recall of a given material. This greatly reduces setup time for future cutting feeds and speeds of similar materials.
MARVEL Bullet Nose Technology
The Marvel PC3S control is the only saw control on the market to offer a feature that will automatically cut multiple angles on the end of an incoming work piece. The multiple angle or “bullet nose” feature is available on Marvel’s Series 2000 machines that are equipped with servo controlled automatic bar feed tables.

The desired angles are easily programmed into the Marvel PC3S control using our intuitive graphical interface. The control determines the most efficient sequence in which to make the various miter cuts. Following the initial cut in a multi-angle program, the bar feed table advances the work piece far enough to clear the cutoff piece from the work area. It then repositions the work piece as required for the subsequent cuts. The ability to program and run these types of parts automatically saves time by eliminating the need for additional handling and secondary set ups.

MARVEL Fast Cut Technology
Both the PC3 and PC3S offer the convenient “Fast Cut” option giving operators the ability to interrupt an automatic job, enter and execute a single cut “one- off” job, then resume automatic processing.

For simpler, non-production cuts, the “Single Cut” entry screen allows the operator to quickly entry the length, quantity and cutting parameters for single piece or small quantity cutting jobs..
